The processing time is determined by the Inland Revenue Department and takes approximately 45 working days (9 weeks). If your return has not been processed in 10 weeks we can contact the IRD and request the call centre staff to look at the return - this sometimes results in the return being completed immediately.
When the IRD have processed the return it is sent to MyTaxMan where it is checked by us. If there are any errors we need to detail these in a letter to the IRD which may add additional time to the refund process.
